Reflections
Wow, It's been so long since I've signed in or even looked on fotopages.
Looking through all these photos gave me a sense of nostalgia.

"Red Tulip Petal" is my fave. It's that band of light across the red that makes it special, as does the curve and the depth of field. The first two are missing that kind of drama.

I was photographing these tulips in my studio, trying different light and camera positions.
Then took a break and started fooling around (results from the studio later.) I really thought these were interesting, so here they are.

I took these at "Ocean Shores" in Washington State. I wanted to give the viewer the sense of being on this beach and a sense of the power of the ocean.

Did it work?????????????????

Good morning all, Here are some more aerial photos. I have NO IDEA where these places are.
Some where in the western united states. . I took most of these more for the patterns than for the actual sites. The lady sitting next to me might have thought I had a screw loose, she might be right

Hey! I can see my house from here! No, wait....

I don't fly often enough to not be fascinated by the view out the windows. And one of my favorite things to study from the air is illustrated in your first shot: the patterns of watersheds. Check out how much the water's runoff is patterned exactly like the water distribution system of a leaf. I'm also always amazed that, for example: as large as Chicago seems when driving there, it's small from the air. There is so much open space! ...and yet hardly any of it is untouched by human activity. Thanks for a thought-provoking set of images!
